That's all I have to say. No. This is a bad game. Do not, under any circumstances, buy it. Even if it's a matter of life and death.Actually, maybe in a life/death situation, but otherwise no.
probably great on the PC but not on Xbox August 1, 2005 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
The mouse-style controls just do not translate onto the xbox at all. This is a move n click game for people who have nothing to do for about 10 years, not teenagers like me who just want quick thrills before homework and revision. Not recommended.

Here's why I like it a lot...I am over 40 and tired of getting beaten at racing games by under 10s on MY XBOX!! In Exile I can wander at my own pace and think about solutions to the challenges laid down without my blood pressure going through the roof. Now I'm taking my time with Myst3 and enjoying late nights with MY XBOX!! when the kids are all in bed. I guess this game just saved MY XBOX!! from being dropped off the roof. So, I'm not cool - but am I the only one with an Xbox who can ride a real motorcycle but not get around the first corner in MotoGP? Full marks for great graphics, sound and music - great atmosphere. Pure enjoyment for the over 40's 'cos the kids find it too slow and boring (so they leave you alone).
Challenging but possibly a bit short January 19, 2003 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Exile is really aimed at the followers of the Myst series. I say this because if one was to start Myst III without playing the others the storyline regarding the books could be a little complicated. That said, the leap in graphics and involvement from Riven to Exile is immense. The gameplay is far smoother with the ability to examine the environment in all planes. The puzzles do apperar to be comlicated but the game gives both visual and audio clues to the solutions. Completing individual stages of the game is rewarded, althought the final stage and ultimate conclusion I found a little dissapointing. This isnt a game to play again and again, rather one that you can come back to when bored with racing or shoot em ups. I only gave it 4 stars due to the value for money aspect on the X Box. For less money the PC box set includes all 3 Myst games. In conclusion, If you fancy a game that stretches the grey matter a little then Myst III is a welcome break.
