Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
The latest addition to the popular series of dancing games, Dancing Stage Fever not only offers another welcome opportunity to get your dance mat hooked up to your PlayStation, but also throws in some new goodies to keep your feet moving that bit longer.

The crux of the game is the same as always. In time with the directions on screen, you need to make sure your foot hits the appropriate symbol at the right time. The more accurate you are, the better you will do. You can still play the game with a standard control pad, incidentally, but it's a fruitless exercise, especially when you consider just how cheap a dance mat is.

New this time round (although when you're in the midst of a dance it's harder to appreciate it) is the inclusion of officially licensed music videos (PS2 version only). It's a nice addition, but of more interest is the roster of new songs, including tracks from the Spice Girls, Madness and numerous 80s artists. There are plenty of songs to dance to, which is what it's all about.

Anyone who has enjoyed a Dancing Stage game to date is going to find few faults here. It hardly changes the formula of the genre, but then it doesn't need to. It provides a fresh dose of high-entertainment dancing fun, even if your feet will hurt by the time you've finished. --Simon Brew

4 out of 5 stars Dancing Stage Fever!   December 31, 2005

I loved this game to begin with, but the dances seemed kind of samey. I didn't find the difficult levels difficult. More like standered with added jumps. There's a big selection of songs. I've had this game for about a year and a half. I've only just got slighty bored with the songs.

I'd recomend this game for beginners. It has good lessons.
All in all, this is a brilliant game. :D

Let me start off with, don't buy this if its your first dance mat game. If you've played all your other dance mat games to death, this one is good for different songs, otherwise it is a replica of dancing stage megamix. Speaking of songs, all those songs sucked!! I was expecting new songs, but half of them are from the 80's. Plus, compared to euromix, the easy levels are a little too easy. I'm not a fantastic player, and I found the standard levels easy.
Overall, its the same as the other dance mat games.

5 out of 5 stars Another great dancing game   January 29, 2004

If you loved the other dancing stage games, then this is the game for you. The songs are great, and the dance routines are more challenging than the other dancing stage games. The best feature is the video clips, I totally adore them (although I can't watch the sequence, while watching the video and then fail the song, but who cares?). The work-out mode, is better than the one in dancing stage megamix, it now includes a programm mode, which will build up your training, for example you start with a 3 feet standard song, then do a 5 feet difficult song and end up with a 2 feet standard song. So no more choosing your own songs anymore, but offcorse you can still do it.
There is a great variety of songs, which means lots of fun!

5 out of 5 stars Of course it plays the same, it's a dance mat game!   December 6, 2003

Ok so this is exactly the same format as all the other titles in the 'Dancing Stage' series. Dance on yer mat to the music. It's got a selection of licensed tracks, although the Konami created music is a lot better. Some of the tracks have the original video's and it's all polished and shiny. If you're into your dancing games you'll love it like you loved all the others, if not you probably won't even be reading this. Get some friends round, get drunk, get this out and laugh at each other.
