Compact case, not too bulky - which I like (after all the beauty of the NDS Lite is it's so tiny so why have a huge case!).
Adequate padding with a bit of re-inforcing to protect your NDS Lite.
Main compartment is just the right size for a snug fit. Has a clear pvc type insert that the bottom section of the NDS Lite slides into with holes cut out for touch screen, buttons, directional pad and side sockets. Designed to let you play while still in the case.
However, I really disliked this - it made it difficult to use the buttons and directional pad and the left and right button were impossible to use. Also my insert was a bit stretched from the cardboard insert that some with it - so it was sort of baggy across the top of the touch screen. Also it restricts the NDS Lite from closing properly when you shut it up to put it away.
That said I decided to cut away the top part of the insert with a pair of scissors (which left a tidy edge and doesn't look scruffy) leaving just the bottom corners - perfectly adequate for holding the NDS Lite in place within the case and easy to slide in and out.
The front of the case looks just like the picture - nice tan with white embroidered motif. The zip goes right the way around 3 sides letting the case fold out flat (so you can play while in the case if you can get around the buttons). Has a stitched in wrist strap that come pre-tucked away in the top seam of the case. Tucked away under two tabs it's nice and tidy. Used as a wrist strap it pokes out of the zip so I can see dirt and crumbs sneaking in here. I use it without the strap out.
The big downside for me is the rear pocket. It's not a bad size - I reckon I could get 3 games in there and maybe in-earphones at a squeeze - but having anything in there really bulks out the case.
The big problem with the pocket is it's covered in a different material to that nice front - it's a sort of soft black squashy nylon pocket, covered with a mesh material - stiched in and integral but a seperate layer on the pocket. I assume this allows the pocket to stretch to accomodate more stuff - but it's not brilliant for keeping clean! The mesh is going to accumalate fluff and crumbs like crazy and it's going to be tough to clean. The front could be wiped - the back ... no way! Not great for messy kids, rolling around in the bottom of your bag, etc.
I would also not be happy to have games loose in the pocket (without an extra cover on the game) as it's the sort of material that would let a splash of water or dust over a longer period penetrate.
It's a good enough case - but if I bought one over again I wouldn't buy this one. The back pocket isn't practical enough for purpose for my liking.
