2 out of 5 stars Not all its cut out 2B   August 28, 2008
The biggest downside of this and other (I guess) twin remote chargers is that it is almost impossible to make contact between charging station and remote with the wrist holder leads attached. If you remove the wrist holder lead attachments (as illustrated in the advertised image) it works just fine. The problem is trying to reattach the wrist leads back to the remotes.

With wrist lead attachments on you will have to fiddle about a bit to get both remotes to make contact with the base charger and retire holding your breath, so as not to disturb the delicate adjustments you have had to make.

The nunchuck holder is a gimmick and almost impossible to fit on to the adjustable holders; of course, if you try to fit them on after delicately manoeuvring the remotes on to the docking station, you are in for a long frustrating night.

3 out of 5 stars Useful but inpractical   May 30, 2008
Due to the aspect that you do not need to purchase batteries, I assume this is a good product. However, this has a few faults.

1. You need to remove straps and the condom of the Wii Remotes prior to charging the controls.
2. The side things for the nunchuks are just a novelty, also not very practical.

It does work but you do have to spend a lot more time adding the safety straps and so on after wards and prior to charging.

4 out of 5 stars In the end...it's a very good product.   May 27, 2008
It's very stylish looking...and most of the time works great (I've been using it for a few days).

My only serious problem with this charger is that the remotes do not fit snuggly into their respective slots. So, the slightest knock (of say the TV cabinet it's placed on) causes a very small movement that has on a few occasions moved the remotes forward and off the part of the charger that charges it. A couple of times I've noticed that remotes weren't being charged because they've moved forward. Having to balance the remotes can get a tad annoying until you master the balancing act (read my tip below to get it right!)

Another, not so serious, problem is (as with ALL chargers, you have to continually remove the silicon protective jacket when the remotes need to be charged. My brother, who uses a different charger - "Remote Charging Stand (Wii)" (note: the remotes fit snuggly into their respective sockets on that product), has decided to take the jackets off completely. That's not a wise thing to do...but I can understand why he's done it. However, by just removing the bottom part of the jacket whenever I need to charge the remotes, I've discovered an added benefit - the removed part of the jacket acts as a kind of paper weight, adding a little weight to the remote when it's placed into the charger. This has stopped the chargers moving forward. Balancing act...mastered. :o)

The nunchuk holder is a cute touch but ultimately pointless. While it can hold the nunchuks (it does require a little higgery jiggery to the extendable rods), its leads have to be detached from the remote (because the remotes are being charged). The detached leads have no hiding place so are basically just making the whole thing look cluttered as they lay on the table (the very nice product photo shows a nunchuk with an amazingly small lead...no way is that right!).

All in all, I still think it's a great product...it does look very good and it does ultimately do what it's intended to do...charge the remotes.

1 out of 5 stars It starts out well but quickly turns bad!   May 2, 2008

I just want to add my voice to the numerous complaints about this product. Initially we had no problems with both wiimotes charging correctly (if you ignore all the other rather naff features mentioned), but after only 1 week one charger no longer showed green no matter how long you charged the remote for. However, it did still seem to charge so for 17 quid I just lived with it.

A week later the other side of the charger stopped showing green also. Again, it still seemed to charge.

10 minutes ago my son shouted to me that the controller wasn't working at all. It seems that it has now given up completely and is only good for the bin! That's after less than 1 month of use. Having read the other low reviews I have removed the chargeable packs and replaced them with regular batteries. Fortunately my controllers still work, which is more than can be said for several unfortunate buyers here.

I received this Charger as part of a package deal from Amazon. The first one they sent one of the charger ports was faulty and wouldn't charge a battery. I returned the item to Amazon and they replaced it ASAP. The second one they sent won't charge either battery so i'll be returning that!!

I think i'll invest in some quality rechargable AA's.

Steer clear of these!!!
