1 out of 5 stars boring!   May 10, 2008

I love Big Brain Academy, so thought this would be fun, but it isn't! It is so boring that I gave up on it after 1 day!
First of all, it only unlocks one new game per day (unless you're impatient like me and keep changing the date, so you can unlock them all in one day) and to unlock each game you have to go through lots of boring stuff first.
Even with them all unlocked, I found the games really unexciting (and this is from someone who can play other games over and over without being bored) and haven't played it since the first day.
Don't waste your money!

well i love puzzle games and couldnt wait to get this but to be honest it aint all that.
the test is the same thing over and over no surprises in the game just the usual stuff.
glad i got it with vouchers rather that spending my own money on it.
its ok is all i can really sum up as.

3 out of 5 stars Fresh idea already feeling tired   March 26, 2007

I am a big fan of both the original 'Brain Training' game & 'Big Brain Acadamy' so I was looking forward to this. Alas, it feels basic, lame & un-inspired.

After the overwhelming sucess of the original games, it seems everyone is trying to cash in on these "alternative" titles and recently we have seen several of brain measuring games released, but this really brings nothing new to the party. As you would expect, it "measures" your brain's age through a series of tests, and although it does manage to convince you that it is a genuine attempt based on science to evaluate your brains' activity it just simply failed to grip me.

The tests seem basic and even childish and whilst some of the mini games can be fun is there really any need for these tedious blowing-into-the-microphone-games?

In essence, this game is best described as the love child of "Big Brain Acadamy" and "Professor Kawashima's Brain Training", but with the resulting offspring bearing slightly more family resemblance to 'Acadamy'. My advice? There IS fun to be had here, but if you own any of the other 2 afore-mentioned titles then there are better things on which to spend your money.
