 Utter Rubbish - Avoid This Game August 24, 2008

If you're thinking about buying this game... please don't!
For some reason the game wasn't beta tested prior to its official release and, despite widespread problems with the game, there are no patches for it.
The game is full of bugs and a quick look at the Codemasters forum for Hospital Tycoon will give you a good indication of just how bad things are with it.
Thankfully I only spent a few pounds buying this game so it's not a big loss however it is a missed opportunity.
Hospital Tycoon could have been a very good game had the developers cared about it enough to make sure it was properly tested or at least patched. They clearly don't care though and are quite happy to carry on taking peoples money for it.
If you're now looking for an alternative I highly recommend Theme Hospital.

Do not buy this game! I bought it new and have found that the large number of unfixed bugs physically prevent me from playing the game. The characters get locked into a repeating loop and so you are no longer able to control the characters. Codemasters have realised a statement saying the management of their company has changed, and they are not prepared to release any kind of patch to fix the game.
As for the game itself, the graphics are brilliant, very detailed. I like the option to look through the eyes of a patient or staff member, and the interaction between the staff is very similar to that in 'The Sims' game. However the controls to build the hospital are not too intuitive, and they are slightly clumsy. There are not many patients, sometimes there are more staff than patients. There are no time limits on curing people or dealing with emergencies, so it feels like staff can treat a patient whenever they feel like it.
Personally, I prefer the original 'Theme Hospital' especially as I cannot play 'Hospital Tycoon' because of all the bugs.

i though this was going to be great,hopefully going to kick theme hospital in the teeth,i didnt,it revived it,becaus ehospital tycoon is without doubt,the buggiest game ever released.you cant rename your staff and they have annoying names,the game is slow and crashes even on powerful computers,the music is bloody annoying,the same 30 second blast every 30 seconds.theyve have tried to give it a sims like language.but this dosent have that likeable tone to the sims language.the receptionist sounds like she's having a fit while sucking helium from a balloon,not to mention the price i paid 10 at a shop somehwere else and even that was a rip-off but 34!!! what the hell were amazon thinking!.this is a massive failure and should be avoided at all costs

don't buy it. You are just wasting your money. Its so boring and need a patch so more people can be in the hospital at the same time to make it better.Theme hospital was much better and more fun

i was quite up for this game i played it a couple of times and it was fine. But after that it just got less and less intresting. A tip to all potential buyers do not waste your money on this. You will be utterly disappointed with it. Codemasters scrap it and start again.
