A terrible shame that this key reference source is now out of print - it's my favourite book on costume jewellery!Packed with photographs, advertisements and editorial, this wonderful book covers every major (and many minor) costume jewellery designers throughout fashion history.
What makes this book so special? The author has written the material taking into account the political, economic and social impacts on jewellery design and jewellery as a fashion item. It is well researched, written in an easy to read style, yet is packed with facts about the designers.
The photographs are "fabulous" and numerous.
If I were to have one item in my library on costume jewellery - it would be this one.
