Excellent instructions for making up techniquesApril 30, 2002 67 out of 68 found this review helpful
This book is divided into two parts, with the pattern cutting section in a different place to the making up instructions. This is a pity IMHO, because it would be useful to be able to go straight from one to the other (and sometimes it would be easier to visualise what's meant by the pattern cutting instructions). The pattern cutting part assumes a certain amount of knowledge - this is not a pattern cutting book for a beginner.
That said, it's an excellent book for the experienced pattern cutter and especially for making up techniques, showing some of the shortcuts used in industry rather than the sometimes-amateur instructions you get in commercial patterns. Well worth the price.
