A book covering coloquial spanish is presented with several problems, as obviously slang varies massively between the various spanish speaking countries, and some books seem to be slanted towards latin american slang at the cost of peninsula spain.
the organsiation also needs to be very logical, and this book suceeds very much in the way it has been organised, firstly there is a comprehensive dictionary at the back with brief explanations, and refernces to the more complete entries in the main section of the book, which functions as a thematic guide to various phrases and words by subject, each entry having a breakdown of which countries the phrase is recognised and an example of the phrase in typical use.
Having tested the content against pensinsula spanish, it seems to be impressively complete.
I completely fail to see the use of the quiz section of the book (ni pincha ni corta), as to have this comprehensive a knowledge of slang accross all the different regions seems unlikely to say the least.
