5 out of 5 stars Reassessing Beckett   March 28, 2004

This is a monumental contribution to Beckett scholarship. The authors have gathered a vast amount of information about the intellectual universe of this most allusive of modernists, and combine it with sharp critical insights into the Beckettian assimilation of Western tradition, all in a user-friendly A-Z encyclopedic format. It offers us all a chance to reassess our perspectives on Beckett and to broaden our understanding of the contexts in which he wrote.
