5 out of 5 stars More money well spent!   May 6, 2005

I have recently purchased this, having previously been using their French Dictionary plus Grammar. However this book is excellent because it gives suggestions on how to phrase sentences using the word you have looked up, depending on the context in which you wish to use the word. Aged 57 and never having studied French until I started Adult Education Classes (I am now in my 2nd year of study), I find this dictionary of great benefit in supporting what I am learning from my tutor. Its not a phrase book to take on holiday though!

3 out of 5 stars very tedious   October 15, 2004

I actually find the book rather confusing with lots of additional boxes, small writing and too much text. It makes French grammar sound more confusing than it probably is. The advantages are; it is a small pocket book, cheap and addtional list of French verbs at the end. I would be very grateful if someone could recommend an easier to understand French grammar book.
