I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a copy of this from my teacher for use in preparation for my exams. My only regret was that I did not get it sooner. Although arguably it does not provide a great deal on the actual taking of exams (taking into account it was written for exams 10 or more years ago) other than common sense- though this is hardly a bad thing making it a great reminder and tool for calming those exam nerves.
Where this book shines is in the page after page (after page) of easy to understand essential grammar and an amazing library of vocabulary to rival that of Wort für Wort or any other vocab publication. It even introduced me to the usage of several words I had not seen prior to reading.
I gave this 5 stars because of how easy it is to use, the depth in which it goes to and the sheer amount of knowledge/word vocab that can be gained from reading it. I will definately be taking it to University with me :)

At the start of AS-Level, I was really keen to get my A grade in the subject. So, I went on Amazon and bought the grammar books, but a big part of getting your grade is exam technique. Thisbook is excellent, it lists common phrases and sentences that come up over and over agian in exams, and their are lots of past paper questions, so you can both practice your german and learn important vocab. A real gem, this one. I've been using it now to practice for the A2 exams in June, and I'm more confident from using this book. Really helpful,!!!!BUY IT!!!!, as an extra source of revision.

I'm a student studying for my A levels. I got this book expecting it to be really helpful, I also bought the French one aswell. The grammar tips at the beginning are really helpful when revising; but when you get into the sub-sections (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing) it's no help at all, all it gives is question and then occasionaly it gives some examiners tips- which are not to helpful. If you need grammar revision- this book is for you, but otherwise good luck!
