Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The grammar that learnt me everything right   February 9, 2007
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

I am a native speaker of Greek and a training translator of Englidh and French. I had an average proficiency in French, though. My French teacher had left me with a poor understanding of the language. What I had learnt was a fuzzy set of rules. The outcome: poor translating skills from and to French as well as no confidence when speaking to French people.
I got to study this highly acclaimed grammar and voila! Everything came to place! It is indeed a COMPREHENSIVE grammar. Also, the fact that it mainly caters for an English-speaking readership has helped me establish some French-English relationships, which are bound to be useful to my career as a translator.
Highly recommended (I always wanted to say that!).
