The "Q" in the title is supposed to stand for Quick. Personally I found it painfully slow. You spend too much time listening and not enough speaking. There is endless repetition of trivial phrases (how many times can you say "Hotel Condal por favor"?). It's all padded out with music and sound effects from Spanish cities. If this is what you prefer, fine - but the title led me to believe that this was a rapid course for people who just want to learn quickly and are prepared to put in the effort. If you are a fast learner you may find this just too boring and frustrating.

As a beginner text I found this perfect. It's paced well and the "BBC" style commentary is well suited to non-North American English speakers, i.e. no gimmicks or "in-your-face" narration. If you're planning to use this CD and book as a springboard to further learning you'll find this fantastic!
