Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars More than just vocab   November 29, 2002

The book contains vocabulary divided into 41 different sectons such as food, finance, health, art etc. If you look up one word you'll be able to see all other related words, plus examples of how to use them correctly. Because of this, the book actually performs quite well as a phrasebook.
And it is not just nouns that it teaches but related verbs and there is a whole chapter on what the book calls structural words, ie preposistions, pronouns and conjunctions, quite useful if you're still having trouble trying to distinguish between por and para.

If you work through the book methodically it is invaluable.
