This is an exceedingly useful book for those studying Latin and 'A' level and beyond. Eleven grammatical constructions are dealt with, with ample practice provided for those doing A/S level, then A2 level, then the first, second and third undergraduate years. Firstly there is a detailed explanation of the point, complemented by charts and examples. Then follow various exercises/translation passages from Latin authors graded for the five levels. One is made to think and reason. In the introductory pages there is advice on how to make one's own vocabulary book and a glossary of technical terms. There is , however, no vocabulary section and some could find this a disadvantage. It is a challenging book and should help students gain command of the language.
