 I thought this book was a fresh way to approach decorating June 15, 1999
While some decorating books are impersonal and impractical, this unique scrapbook tells you how to bring the look you want home, without spending too much. It makes you think about your own personality and lets you know that you really should be living the high life!
 Strasser's Paris Apartment a disappointment January 19, 1999

Having traveled extensively in France and appreciated the wonderful decor throughout that beautiful country, I was disappointed. If you can shop in New York or Paris, you can put this book to good use for its shopping references. If you know artists who work for free or if you are an artist yourself, you can execute some of Strasser's ideas for under $1800 for the type of apartment makeovers featured. For the rest of us, better pictures, better details, more inspiration appear in House Beautiful's "Small Spaces".
Wonderful book truly captues use of textiles, color in Paris December 8, 1998
This book is a wonderful tribute to the Parisian decorating spirit! The photographs are truly inspirational; the address listings of the manufacturers is such a great help. The illustrations on how to repair lamps has also been of assistance. If anyone would like to incorporate Parisian style/Shabby Chic decorating styles to their home, this book has definitely got it. You will refer to this book very often. Great job!
Imaginative, inspirational, and original September 2, 1998
I absolutely loved this book! She has incredibly practical (and affordable) advice on creating beautiful, sumptuous rooms. The before and after pictures are very inspirational, and makes you think "I could do that!" You will want to redecorate every room after reading it. I can't wait to visit her store in NYC.
Absolute must-have for the "posh" look on a budget. July 11, 1998
This is by far my favorite decorating book. It is filled with more hints and tips to get that "jewel box" or "genie bottle" effect than any I've read. If you are creating a very elaborate, whimsical living space and need some inspiration...this is the book to get! This is the book to bring out the fairy tale prince or princess in anyone. Wonderful budget advice also. I love this book!
