Not a good book February 23, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this book for one of my first Economic modules at University, and have hardly used it ever. Topics are not covered in a logical manner and the book includes too many definitions and is very theoretic, including very few examples of how Economics can be applied in the real world, which I find is essential for students studying Economics for the first time. There are many better books on the market !

Simply the best! October 31, 2002 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is definitely the best book that I have come across so far in my undergraduate study. Clear, thorough, relevant and more importantly INTERESTING, this book is indispensable! Not only will it teach you Economics but also explain day to day issues impartially. My advice:Go out and buy it!
A Definite Economics Text for Undergraduates October 6, 2002 12 out of 15 found this review helpful
This book covers a wide range of Economic Theory. It is a very good core text book for undergraduates or students with no prior knowledge in the field of Economics. It is a "must" for students doing units such as Micro Economics,Macro Economics and Monetary Economics since these topics are covered in depth. It is also useful as a reference for topics such as Welfare Economics, Banking, International Trade, and Economic Development . The concepts are explained clearly and there is a summary at the end of each chapter which emphasizes the main points of the chapter. This text book is very popular among undergraduates due to the friendly -user language, the structure, and the number of areas being covered. I would definitely recommend this text book for anyone who is interested in Economics.
