this is a book you have to keep reading it blow me away it will show the way to inner peace and help you realise its already there anyway.
it makes you sit up and think about your own spirit within and thats what drew me to a little book [the calling of your true self]this makes lots of sense.
both books are telling you to look within its already there.

1 out of 5 stars Truth or not?   September 4, 2008

I read this book years ago, and it is very attractive, and provides a good explanation of the course, which I have also studied. I have always wrestled whether the course is 'the truth', and whether my poor judgements about the bible were justified. One thing has sealed the deal for me - the course denies the presence/existence of evil, and wraps it up into metaphysical concepts. Alas, evil is real, and when you have felt it, you know that it is no 'projection' or anything else. I'm afraid that the only practical tool to get rid of it is the strong name of Jesus of Nazareth...and that just perhaps it was my judgement of Christianity that was the problem (to use course speak!).

It is uncompfortable, but I came to this realisation through hard experience. Be very careful what you believe is all I can say....There a couple of books around describing the same thing if you search on Amazon. All the best.

5 out of 5 stars If you are urged to read this book, it would benefit everyone for to do so..   August 15, 2008

In my 8 years of spiritual studies studies I can't believe I'm only just reading this book...I was inspired by the Neale Donald Walsch, conversations with god books (the theory is the same as this) but only decided to read this because I kept noticing other authors I love, such as Doreen Virtue and Louise L Hay, were quoting from this book like it was the 'law'...This book is course to rid (maybe not rid but help you to understand and control) you of your ego and retrain your mind to listen to the loving guidance of the voice that was given to you by god..Then once you have healed yourself, you are invited to help others to 'heal themselves'. The text is absolutly inspiring and lifts the spirits as its like sombody telling you the truth that you have been looking for all your life. If you are a disgruntled Christian who rejected their religion (like myself), not inspired by the judgemental application of his teachings, this book gives christs' teachings back to the people he always wanted to help, which is everyone...If you are not christian it doesn't matter at all.

A truly holy book...

1 out of 5 stars Deception   July 28, 2008

Christians, don't be deceived. This is not a Christian book even though it is couched in spiritual language. It was dictated to its author by a spirit guide posing as Jesus - but this was the new age Jesus, not the Son of God of the Bible who died to save mankind from our sinfulness.

If you are interested in reading this book, I would urge you first to read Light That Was Dark: From the New Age to Amazing Grace- a short and easy read which documents Warren Smith's spiritual journey through many areas of the New Age, including this book. Eventually only the real, Biblical Jesus could release him from the terrifying spiritual oppression that ensued.

5 out of 5 stars A true miracle of words   July 9, 2008

It is not very often we come across a book that says so much about who we are and why we are here. The error in perception, the illusion of separation, and why there is no such thing as guilt and sin are all central to its theme, and yet there is so much more. The wording of the text is almost biblical in tone, but such is the strength of its message it cannot fail to inspire those who open its pages. If you are genuine in your desire to understand the true meaning of your existence, including the cause of all your pain and suffering, then this really is the beginning of a journey that will change your life forever.

`Truth is restored to you through your desire, as it was lost to you through your desire for something else. Open the holy place that you closed off by valuing the "something else," and what was never lost will quietly return.'

It is a truly inspirational book without comparison. My only advice is that you take your time and understand the true depth of its message.
