Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful poems, useful book   November 22, 2001

This is a great compilation of very fine poetry suitable for use at weddings, naming ceremonies, funerals etc. Some of the poems selected are well known, others are not. What they all have in common is their secularness. There is not a single mention of God / religion which makes them appropriate for use at any civil marriage. At our wedding this summer we had one poem found in the book painted as a wall sized mural ('Today') and another read by a friend during the service ('The Gathering').
