Product Description Its packed full of features, easy to use and great to look at; its the Cyber-shot DSC-W130 from Sony! This camera comes with an 8.1-megapixel sensor, meaning you can enlarge images to A3 format without any loss in detail, and a Carl Zeiss lens with a 4x optical zoom for perfect colour and detail rendering. For clear, sharp photos in all circumstances, the Cyber-shot DSC-W130 includes an optical image stabiliser and amazingly responsive sensitivity of up to 3200 ISO, which is ideal for shooting with one hand and in low lighting conditions. You can display your creations on a cutting-edge TV using its HD input, set up scenes with its 2.5 LCD screen, and even pick out smiles and faces. Capture events as they happen with the Cyber-shot DSC-W130!

Great Value November 18, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
What I like about the camera is: - it's very compact and easy to carry about - the metallic finish makes it feel solid and durable - the image quality is not bad, probably what would be expected from any typical 8MP - the camera menu is fairly easy to use, less confusing than other cameras I have used in the past
The only thing I find that isn't ideal is the LCD screen which is not the brightest around so it is a bit difficult using it in bright (sunny) conditions. This is probably deliberate from Sony to improve the battery life which is satisfactory (so far).
Overall, it's certainly good value considering the price and features that go along with it. Highly recommended.

Great Camera, Great Price October 16, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this camera largely based on reviews from the site. HAving previously had a Sony camera, and then a bad experience with another brand (largely my fault admittedly!) I was keen to return.
This camera has not dissappointed so far - it is very compact and I found the menu's to be largely intuitive. The buttons are not too difficult to use although the zoom could be a little smoother! Another minor gripe is that you can't zoom when filming, but then this is firstly a camera, so I'll not harp on.
The smile function has to be seen to be believed - it is a great fun tool (although I have found the subjects do need to be facing directly toward the camera for maximum effect) and has captured some really great shots.
Used recently at my brothers wedding, the camera performed well in both bright daylight, cloudier conditions, and in the dark function room later on for the all important first dance.
Given the price of around 100, I'd say this camera offers excellent value for money. Having since seen a friends W150 with the extra optical zoom, I'd say that the extra is worth it if you can stretch the budget!
Enjoy!
Cool-looking camera that gives sharp bright photos August 31, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
After being really impressed with the picture quality from a friends Sony Cybershot DSC-W100 I decided to take the plunge with a Sony camera. This model took my eye because of the black design. After a few months of playing around (being a casual photographer) I am very happy with my purchase.
For me, the major plus points are: sharp high resolution images at 8.1MP a hefty 4x optical zoom powerful flash that gives you superb photos in poor light user-friendly menu and navigation great looking camera
The low points are: the camera is smaller than I imagined, feeling awkward in my clumsy hands relatively small LCD screen - at 2.5cm (my old Kodak camera had 3cm) annoying music when you turn it on - I havent got round to turning the sound off
I also advise getting a decent case as the screen looks like it will scratch easily.
love it July 16, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Only had this cam for a few days and its a great small smart does all you need. If you are thinkig of buying one you will need a 4 gig stick for it that will get you 1250 pics set at 8 mega pix. And also a spare battery np-fg1i is the model number and it will also tell you how long is left in mins
