Buy this book if you never actually intend to go camping August 30, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
As a self-proclaimed boho clad yummy-mummy (well I'd like to be) - definitely more flash packer than back packer, I must say I found this book a bitter disappointment. It is, for all intents and purposes, a beautifully styled extended magazine feature - the sort of thing you might find in "Cosmopolitan" with lots of photos or pink, floral and retro-style camping accessories but very little substance. In a simillar vein - a much, much better and robust read is "The Happy Campers" by Tess Carr and Kat Heyes.

A camping guide for the boho-clad yummy mummy.
Fabulously essential information to get you safely from your toff-roader, all the way to your own garden, or even to a campsite.
Get it for your Bernard Vuarnesson coffee table now!
inspirational, if not a little over romaticised July 15, 2007 A pretty cool book actually, some nice tips and the recipies looked good. Its a little "rose tinted specs" at some points (ie I won't be taking my cashmere socks or my quail's eggs to camp!), but overall, it made me want to go camping now!

I had never really thought about going camping before, but after reading this book its something I really want to get into ... Camping doesn't have to be the poor alternative for a break away!
I definetly recommend this book to anyone thinking of going camping!
The Cosmo guide to camping for the vacuous September 2, 2006 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
Truly awfull book. Laughable cliches and lazily put together. I would not recommend going for the two 'cool camping' books deal. The one by Jonathan Knight is ok. But this is just a waste of trees.
