5 out of 5 stars Superb   May 26, 2008

My children and I read the first book in the series on holiday and the kids were really disappointed that I had left Nicholas and the Gang at home. They love these stories. They are short enough to keep even the most attention deficit suffering child interested and full of such mischief and naughtiness they never fail to delight. My middle daughter commented that she loves these stories because they are just 'so' bad.

If you have read Nicholas then you will not be disappointed in his further adventures as they are more of the same, as ever accompanied by the excellent illustrations of sempe. Our favourites in this collection are Max's Conjuring Tricks, My Coloured Pencils and The Doctors.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent as usual   April 21, 2008

I wait impatiently for each new Nicholas book to come out and this one doesn't disappoint, the whole gang are back on top form. Utterly charming. Also, you can read these books out of sequence, it doesn't make a jot of difference as each story stands alone.
