The Narrative approach is gaining increasing interest as a qualitative research method. This book is one of the first to consider the method of Narrative Analysis in its own right. Catherine Kohler Riessman gives us an extensive insight into the narrative approach, and considers its imlpications to the nature of the research. Reading this book gives you a clear idea about what the narrative is, and how to go about conducting narrative research and analysis. In addition, In Chapter 2, Riessman exemlpifies her argument with the application of research conducted by herself, and other researchers who have adapted the narrative method.This is a valuable book for anyone using the narrative method, and anyone that is interested in finding out a little bit more about it. Riessman makes an effort to 'locate herself' in the preface of this book, suggesting this book to be a reaction to requests for a methodological source. It certainly does achieve this
