I have just received this map, and I am very disappointed that it only covers central Venice. The map does seem quite clear and detailed, but the fact that it does not cover the whole of the main islands is not advertised. Having been to Venice before, some of the places we want to revisit are not covered by this map, and that is a disappointment.

We bought this along with the Top Ten Venice book and they were both brilliant. This map was perfect because it was small enough to take in our pocket for dinner time . Because Venice has so many intricate streets and canalways and paizzas you need a good map to navigate around. Every street seems to have signs directing you to the main areas like Rialto, Piazza Roma and San Marco but you'll definitely need a map. There are loads of free handouts and hotel maps you could use but you wont go wrong with this.
