5 out of 5 stars Excellent   August 21, 2008
A clear and concise book that i've refered to time and time again.
A must have for anyone interested in nutrition and the health benefits of foods.

You won't eat chocolate again! Very colourful book with lots of information about the digestive system and how eating certain foods can help give you a boost. Good encouragement to be more healthy when the photography looks so lush.

5 out of 5 stars Very informative book about food and health in general !!   September 18, 2004

This is the first book i have ever read about healing foods. As a beginner with not much prior knowledge about which foods provide what nutrients and which foods help different aspects of our health, i found this book to be very informative on a basic to medium level.
The book is very colourful and structured well focusing on aspects ranging from different food benefits to how we can improve our mood by eating the right foods and how we can improve our immune system and digestion by changing the things we eat.
I found this book to be an excellent read and a book that i can always go back to whenever i need to know about certain foods. The end of the book contains recipe ideas for different health issues. Overall i really love this book. I recommend this book to anyone who doesn't know much about food and the body!

4 out of 5 stars Useful and inspiring   May 1, 2004

I bought this book after reading odd articles here and there about what foods contain which vitamins etc. The book is an accessible read throughout giving a balanced view on eating for health. There are quite a few surprises in store when you find out the benefit of some foods. The production is fresh and crisp and on the whole the clean presentation adds inspiration and movtivation the book gives you. My only negative is that I would like to see a few more recipes and meal ideas. However, Well worth a place on your bookshelf.

4 out of 5 stars From A to Zinc, but not in that order   March 17, 2004

I bought this book because it came so highly rated, and I was impressed when I received my copy. It is certainly very well presented, although the layout takes some getting used to. But very informative, and I have learned a lot so far.

I did see, however, that one reviewer commented that the book was not well researched, without elaborating. If that is true, one won't know what is correct what not. It is, however, easier to allege than to publish a glossy fullsize book, so for now I am siding with the book, and recommending it.

Another reviewer wrote that he's already bought a number of copies, as it makes a wonderful gift. I wholeheartedly agree!
