4 out of 5 stars wow! Some wonderful walks!   August 31, 2006

I am a great fan of the time out book of country walks vol 1.I have done most of the walks therein so its a real pleasure to have yet more walks to choose from in the same fun and easy to follow style.I can highly reccomend the Coulsdon walk and I did the Dover to Deal coastal walk not so long ago and its an absolutely beautiful and unforgettable experience.Hastings to Rye gets the hard slog over at the beginning and another amazing day out. Like many Londoners I love the Smoke but I really need to get out and experience the joys of the countryside as well. All these walks are accessible by public transport and invariably feature avery good pub for lunch andalmost always a good tea stop as well. They are fun to do in a group ( there is a website linked to this book for group walks) but really absorbing and fun on your own. Highly reccomended
