I'm not certain that this Michelin guide is the best you can find February 8, 2008
The green Michelin guides are a classic reference. The California guide is more than 300-pages long and covers everything you might need to make your visit a success. The problem with this type of guide is that it covers such a vast area that you end up using only a small part of the guide during any specific visit. As such any specific place only gets a few pages, in particular the small towns get only a few pages. I'm not certain that a guide for a place like California is worth having, its best to go for guides for the specific places you plan to visit.
