5 out of 5 stars 'AVE IT!! Laughs, locations and ludicrous adventures   October 29, 2005

As someone who has only occasionally scaled the odd crag grasping comically at the next hold and forever wondered how good climbers get not only the body strength ( mmmmm... those nice bodies too), but also the mental fortitude to overcome their fear, I was fascinated by the sublime photographs of hard-core climbing escapades from around the globe. As such I was drawn in and spent several hours perusing the pictures in awe.

It was whilst reading the captions about where these places were, who was climbing and just how bloody hard some of the climbs were, I started to laugh. Neil and Tim clearly have a way with words that brings to life their friendship, intrigue and driving need for (mis) adventure that has been realised through their passion for travel. Now travel is a subject I can relate to - and I found that their vivid and humourous tales of foreign lands whet my appetite to jump on a place at once!

This book is a mix of anecdotes, adventures and inspiration whose appeal stretches beyond the rock & ice climbing scene and into the minds of anyone who has ever set out on a quest... or wished they had the balls to do so.
