Purchased this book for a recent trip to Brittany. We stayed near Quimper in the Finistere region so this book had loads of options for walks near us. We spent a lovely day following one of the walks which took in 2km along a fantastic beach. Easy to follow with a good number of different walks, short and long, coast, river, woods,towns etc... The suggestions for other walks was also a useful addition towards the end of the book. Would thoroughly recommend the book and the Finistere region of Brittany!!

We tested Wendy Mewes's book on a recent visit to Brittany. We are not serious walkers, but seeing the lovely countryside on foot was the highlight of our stay, and we found the book an excellent guide. It is throughly researched, well organised and the directions comprehensive. 36 circular walks are described in detail, covering many different landscapes, and each classifed by length and how easy going. Interspersed with the directions, there are brief notes of interest and abundant, if tiny, photographs. We would certainly recommend this book to anyone visiting Finistere.
