Only buy this map if you're the sort of person who likes suprises, or working out difficult and challenging puzzles. The sort of word I would use to describe this map is not printable! We used it to drive down to visit friends in the Ardeche (we took our time - 4 days, and 3 days back by a different route): Great holiday, rubbish map. How they have the gall to sell it as 'up to date' (or 'detailed') I do not know - MOST of the road numbers are WRONG, there are motorways where none are marked on the map, and roads on the map that no longer exist. clearly they bought the rights to some very out of date map dirt cheap, put their name on it, and sell it to us are five times the price. Nice scam! We didn't mind too much - I can speak French and we had plenty of time, and we LIKE suprises! But hey - it's nice paper!

I found this map very useful for route planning. It shows the whole of France very clearly and though lightweight is tough and will last.
Even using my TomTom I wanted to look through various ways to travel from Calais to Bergerac with a stop off or two. This clear map helped me to sort my route.
