Calling ALL primary teachers! October 22, 2002 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
Whether you are already a primary teacher or in training this book is a must have. I am training to become a primary teacher and this book has helped me no end with the theory behind Maths teaching. The book has a continuous focus on misconceptions which are likely to arise in maths and breaks them up into manageable sections. The chapter on Daily Maths Lessons was extremelly useful as it informs you on the best way to structure them and has helped me on teaching practice and preparing for the numeracy hour. This book aims at preparing you to meet the standards to recieve QTS and i feel alot more confident in doing so, now that I have a copy of this book at my side. My advice to you is to buy it!!!!
