This book is more than an a exhibition catalogue. It is a work of art itself. The layout and design of the book are so well concidered. Different types of artwork are printed on different qualities of paper. There are 2 CD's that contain an interview with David Lynch. It is useful to browse through the book and listen to the interview at the same time as it constantly refers to pages in the book. This gives a great insight into the mind of David Lynch. Though it has to be said the interviewer is slightly annoying because she asks obvious questions and makes blatantly obvious mistakes - you will understand what I mean when listening to it.
This aside, I absolutely love this book. The artwork ranges from post-it note drawings to surrealist nude photographs and paintings interspersed with stills from all of his films. Totally wonderful and truly inspirational. David Lynch has to be a genius - surely?
