Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars A pleasant classic   June 23, 2008
'Around the World in Eighty Days' is nothing less than a pleasant classic, suitable for all ages. The novel follows the travels of Mr Fogg, whose is job is to fulfil a bet involving the circumnavigation of the world in just 80 days. Verne creates a magical Victorian setting in which a whole host of adventures are told in an accessible style. A recommended read.

4 out of 5 stars All the way   November 1, 2006
Its always worth reading a classic, this is one of the best! This is a story that children know, its been films, cartoons, plays. Everything! But nothing can beat a book, thats when you can dissolve yourself into the world and take it at your own pace, from your own perspective.

Of course our hero travels around the world to win his bet, traversing strange lands, encountering strange people and innovating superbly. But the great thing about this book is the way it always seems so friendly, inviting and up beat. Even when things really arent!

This is a good version too, easy to read.
