For a German learning English I would give this 5 stars.
I bought this as the Spanish/English version (1440 now ceased) has been invaluable and the BDS-1860 is of equal use to me. Strictly I should have given 5 stars as I was only aiming at having the same as the Spanish version but we have moved on: extras have been added but they are principally aimed at Germans learning English.
There is a very good English dictionary,a CD course for Germans learning English and the 1860 speaks English (only).
The instructions are in German which would require some initial knowledge of German.
The basic features alone make it a useful aid for anyone learing German.
