5 out of 5 stars Every home should have one!   January 6, 2005

I have been the happy owner of this fantastic book for a number of years and it must be the most used of any book I have ever owned!
It makes a fascinating "dip into" read to pass the time, perfect to just relax with. I have also got so engrossed that I have read it cover to cover on several occasions!
The diary format makes it perfect as a aide when choosing unusual days out and if you are a fan of trivia you will never be short of weird and wonderful facts ever again!
It covers all manner of notable events, especially ghostly visitations, weather lore, bizzare historical events and many many local folk traditions....all described in a light-hearted amusing way.
A truly great book-every home should have one!!
