This book is an excellent resource for biology undergraduates particularly, but not exclusively, those with a specific interest in genetics. The mechanisms behind inherited diseases are explained and reinforced with very clear diagrams and illustrations.
Photographs of individuals (and foetuses) with congenital abnormalities and disease phenotypes are used to great effect to back up information provided in the text, but as some of the pictures are quite grotesque - it may not be the kind of book to read at the breakfast table!
This book has been the most useful genetics text I have read so far and I unreservedly recommend it.
