Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Not enough rare material this time around...   October 2, 2008
I have been a follower of the Triple CD 12" collections since the first one released a few years back. This collection serves as a reminder of just how underrated the 90's are, and also how bland this period could be too.

The set starts off strongly enough, but not all of the Remixes included are the best available or particularly rare versions. An example of this is New Order 'World in motion', and Blue Boy 'Remember me' which drags on and on and wasnt a good song at the time to be honest. The third disk is mostly 'Acid Jazz' some of which hasn't aged very well, and most of which has been available on other compilations for some time, so no rare remixes included here.

Overall I think a 90's 12"s Cd was a good idea, but i think what this edition shows is that the demise of the '12" remix' and the vinyl 12" single as a popular mainstream format began here, thanks to the increasing popularity of the CD single and an increase in downloading, and perhaps it is the lack of material from this period that limits this collection.
