Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Magnificent illustrations   May 21, 2008
This has the usual story but the ills. are something else. Gorgeous and acute psychologically, eg the opening of the story has Cinders sitting sewing by the firepalce while 3 sour-faced masks (stepmother + ugly sisters) glower down at her from the wall. The coach trotting to the prince's castle across a lake causeway is magnificent, as is the scene of the sisters leaving for the ball while Cinders looks on from a doorway. I could go on.....

I think this is Errol Le Cain's masterpiece. Am I allowed to award it 50 stars?
