4 out of 5 stars best choice out there!   March 6, 2004

If you're just going to Tassie, this is the best book you could take along with you! No need to lug around the big, heavy Australia edition of LP... Tassie deserves a trip of its own... several weeks at least!
This guide book gives lots of insightful data on places to visit and stay, not so well known activities (bushwalking trails, spots for scuba-diving...) as well as the more touristic stuff.
Reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it needs to be updated a bit: some e-mail/web pages need updating, as do most of the prices. In Feb 2004 hotel/hostel prices were quite a bit higher than those mentioned in the book. Also, would be nice a little more about the flora and fauna...
But a definite must if you're visiting Tasmania!
