I have borrowed just about every well-known guide book on Barcelona from my library in preparation for my first visit to the city, and have got more use from this little book than all the others combined! The layout and contents are very user-friendly and tells you very useful stuff. I'd recommmend it for anyone who, like me, wanted an introduction to the city, and pointers on where to visit for a short break. I'll definitely be looking out for this range for future trips to other cities.

If you are going to Barcelona for a short break, I recommend this book. It is well presented with clear maps and attractive photos and gives a good overview of the different districts of the city with plenty of information about cafes and restaurants etc. If you are staying longer or plan to return (I have been 3 times and am still fascinated by the city!) you might want a larger guide, but of its kind I think this is the best one.
