5 out of 5 stars This book made me laugh so much!   February 13, 2001
Extremely entertaining. The plot is simplistic and predictable, but if you want a good laugh, this is brilliant.

4 out of 5 stars Worra laugh!   February 5, 2001
This book was a really good laugh. It is perfect for a couple of days entertainment, whilst on your hols. Don't take it too seriously, it's a nice little caprice.....

5 out of 5 stars a rollicking good read   January 30, 2001
A fantastic, funny read from start to finish, without pretensions, unlike those who think they really could have done better themselves. I started it in a very hot bath, and finished it in a very cold bath -- couldn't put it down. Thank you, Miss Knight, for making me laugh harder than I have in years.

5 out of 5 stars a breath of fresh air   January 30, 2001
THANK GOD for an author who treats herself and the world around her with a pinch of salt. Not only does India Knight write addictively well, but with affection, humour, and a much-needed lack of political correctness. Roll on the next novel.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant   January 18, 2001
Interesting that looking at the reviews people either get this book or completely fail to. I got given it for Christmas and it's the best book I have read in about a year, really sharp and funny, but scarily intelligent with it. It's also the best novel I've ever read about marriage. I didn't buy it at the time it came out because I thought this was just more boring chick-lit, but I was wrong. It's in a class of its own.
