Unimpressed! March 28, 2008 Expected better... The flaps are very flimsy and rip off easily... consequently my book was taped together after a few readings. The ending is very disappointing and had my 20 month old son looking at me as if to say "Is that it?!" Not a favourite unfortunately!
A sturdy, glossy and interactive book November 16, 2007 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I was pleased when this arrived. Sometimes merchandising can be overpriced and the price can have parents "over a barrel" but I thought this was excellent value, especially as I saw it on the high street yesterday for 6.95! On the front is a bold picture of Iggle Piggle and a fluffy insert where you can touch his fleecy blanket. On each page is a flap to lift to play hide and seek, for Iggle Piggle's blanket. It doesn't include all the "cast" as it were, but there ia a whole range of Night Garden books that concentrate on the different characters if you have a favourite. I find children thrive on repetition and the familiar so I am sure this will become a favourite with my son. My son is only sixteen months old and obviously can't read yet, but is more likely to sit quietly and let me read to him if the books have familiar characters like this, or interactive bits he can join in with, like the flaps on each page. I'd say its good looking, interactive and good value. Plus, anything that gets children interested in books is fine by me.
READ TWICE AND LOST ABIT LIKE THE BLANKET!! November 8, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My little girl loves In The Night Garden I have to say this book is a little disappointing for the price. It does not feature all the charactors and most of the garden is missing. We have read it twice and it's been put with the rest of the books in her playroom which don't get touched which is a shame.

To be honest I expected more. My child adores In the night garden but the book only used some of the characters and not all the aspects of the garden. Within 3 readings my 19 mth old knew what was coming on the next page.
