4 out of 5 stars French by Association   July 30, 2003

This has been really useful in learning basic words - I had no knowledge of French but now I know the 200 or so on this CD. Some of the associations are not the most logical for me as an Australian because it uses American pronounciations or phrases but I was able to make up my own associations for those few. It doesn't teach any 'joining' words so I couldn't say a complete sentence by using this alone and it also doesn't teach how to conjugate verbs but as a basic way to learn nouns, it's great.
