Brilliant informative book April 20, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We have just come back from our 4th trip to Orlando and this is the first time we have taken a guide book but won't be our last.
The book is funny, readable, packed with information and useful tips. I read it often whilst on our trip to sort out where we should go and what we mustn't miss - it was so helpful. We visited several restaurants that we would't even had known existed without this guide and certainly took on board the advice about getting a fastpass as soon as you could for "Soarin" in Epcot (this frequently ran out by 1.00 pm each day !!)
A really enjoyable well written and interesting guide book - don't go to Walt Disney World without it !!
An extremely cost effective purchase April 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Prior to buying this book I'd tried several online info sources and itinerary planners, each and every one of which just sapped my will to live. I commend this book as a quick, handy and accurate reference for prior planning and for during your holiday too. A hefty chunk of the guide is given over to Disney parks - too sickly for my kids - but the rest of it was bang on. The "Brit Tips" are excellent. Highly recommended if you're planning an Orlando holiday and ...... er ..... you're British.
Useful but over-enthusiastic February 22, 2008 We bought this book for our recent trip to Disney World Orlando (Feb 08). Overall the book was really useful with loads of practical info on each park plus other details (restaurants etc). The downside of the book is that we often did not agree with the author's judgments of rides, shows etc which could be over enthusiastic and led to some disappointments. This was particularly true of two events - firstly the 'Swim with Dolphins' experience at Discovery Cove: the book review led to us having high expectations but in the event 3 out of 4 of our party were very disappointed (too much like a production line and no opportunity to 'swim' as such). Secondly the expensive Cirque du Soleil show 'La Nouba' which we booked solely on the book's very high recommendation but which, although fun, was not a patch on the recent Cirque du Soleil tours of the UK. Overall the book was a useful aid but do not take the judgements as bible. You may not agree.

We're planning our third trip to Orlando and this is the third version of this fabulous book that we've bought - it never disappoints. Updated every year, with a useful link to a website for more information. There is so much to do in Orlando, for all ages. This book means that you don't have to miss out on some of the hidden treasures that you might otherwise never find. Written by 'normal' people, who've been there and done it! Funny, sensible, useful to the max. Don't hesitate to buy and enjoy this book.
