5 out of 5 stars Accurate and useful   January 18, 2004

as a training nutrition consultant I find this book to be accurate and highly useful. It is recommended reading on my course and I doubt that my lecturers would do so if they felt it was anything other than accurate and ethcial.

I have given copies to friends over the years who find it really useful and have started reading The Food Doctor Diet too.

The Food Doctor is a well written and accessible book. Buy it if you have any interest in food and nutrients.

contrary to the other reviews, i find this book full of innacuracies. although it makes for a good read, if you
actually look into the vitamins and recommendations in the
front section, you will find they are not well researched.

a brilliant idea but badly executed.

I bought this book as I am interested in how to live a healthier life and I must say taht this book can help you do just that. In one evening, I had read nearly the whole book! Its absolutly fasinating to find out exactly what different foods contain and what they do to your body. It's an absolute must for anyone, even if your not interested!

What a wonderful book! Beautifully illustrated, well laid out and easy to understand for beginners to the world of nutritional healing.

It proved to be my bible for getting healthy after a long illness, I use it constantly for references to which foods I should eat, when and how.

I learned an enormous amount from this book, I even gave copies to my friends! It is a good starting point to understanding good nutrition and health and will certainly give you the bug to know more!

Really great. Very informative and useful. Hardly faddy and every food mentioned seems to be avialble in my supermarket ( which is hardly a superstore! ). Have ordered the whole set for Christmas presents now.
