The best of the bunch by far March 19, 2006

I have bought several guides to Marrakech over the years and this is by far the best - the others don't come close in terms of information and layout. I usually buy Lonely Planet or Rough Guides but these were both very disappointing for Marrakech. Forget Rought Guide Directions, Footprint Marrakech and the Everyman city maps guide too, the Time Out guide covers everything these do, plus much much more, and in a more user-friendly way. Very highly recommended.

On previous holidays the guidebook has only been used to give a general impression, usually many of the specific hotels/restaurants no longer exist or bear little or resemblance to the place in the reviews.
This time, however, the TimeOut guide became our bible, especially for restaurants (how else would we have found such fantastic food as we did in Ferdaouss (essaouira), Lolo Quoi and Narwama (both marrakech) ?).
