Hollywood at its worse January 27, 2008 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
Not many good points to comment on, they are overwhelmed by the bad. Corney, cheesey, and seriously one film to miss. This is trash sci-fi with no soul and no depth. The effects are good but I cant think of anything else complementary to say. I like sci-fi, I find it to be great escapism ..... but it has to be done right and this doesnt do anything right. On almost every level its a disapointing movie. Trash!!
2:1 to the Earthlings January 19, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Aliens came outt ogf the blocks like a whitehouse on fire and scored a quick goal, but against the run of play a corner taken from the left was headed in by Smith. A good combination from the whole earthling team resulted in a late winner, which left the Aliens a long journey home with their tail between their legs...Hurrrraaaaaaahhhh
A modern propaganda film? December 21, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Aliens are real. They have been visiting - and probing - us for many, many years. They decide the time is right to attack planet Earth and wipe out the human population with a view to taking over the planet.
Add a few soap opera moments and that's 'Independence Day'.
I'm not sure why, but when I watched this film I got the same feeling I had when I saw 'The Day After'.
I would love to know how deeply the CIA, NSA and other agencies are involved with 'the powers that be' in Hollywood.
Anyway, definitely worth viewing, but try not to look into as deeply as I have. If you do, you're in for a long, frustrating haul.
So very stupid September 27, 2007 1 out of 10 found this review helpful
I hate this film so very, very much. If only the aliens had had some kind of, oh I dont know, FIREWALL! for gods sake, then Goldblum couldnt have uploaded his `virus' and the entire planet would be detsroyed. Small price to pay if it had stopped this dire piece of crap being made.
TOTAL ESCAPE September 19, 2007 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Good old fashioned Zapp those aliens. We get our backsides vapourised in the majority of the film, but wait, here come the Americans to save us.
Thank goodness the Americans sussed out the alien shields could be brought down with a computer virus. I would have hidden. Great special effects from start to finish.
Well done film makers and God bless those yanks !!
