| Customer Reviews:
The best sitcom ever! October 13, 2007 I love this series. I have owned the complete box set for about 4 years and have watched it over and over. I never get tired of it.
I'm perplexed as to why Amazon bills it as starring James Earl Jones, as he appears in no episode ever. Many, many others do appear, though, from Rosanne Barr, to John Cleese, to Elvis Costello.
Fab.
At this price i couldn't really complain May 9, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yes i experienced a longisg delay in the order being fullfilled but when you look at the price (other site are selling the same item at 3 times the price) it has to be expected. O.k. amazon could have been a bit better with the estimated delivery time (now at 4-6 weeks) but i only waited about 3 weeks. I was lucky. I still can't believe the price. I've just finished watching season 1 it's still as funny. Buy this but be ready for a bit of a wait for delivery.
Surprised April 29, 2007 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
The series is obviously worth 5 stars, but if Amazon don't fulfil the Order, it's rather pointless rating it. I buy all my DVDs from them, and it's surprising that they should risk incurring adverse customer feedback by advertising a product they either do not have in stock, and seem unable or unwillng to deliver - at least at the price quoted, which is significantly less than anywhere else. As matters stand, you are left wondering whether there is even the possibility of delivery, whether you should be looking for another supplier, and how much reliance you can place on what they say. NOTE: This is the ONLY occasion when I have had cause to complain in an otherwise excellent service.
Absolutely atrocious service! April 24, 2007 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
Ordered my copy 27/3/07. Have constantly been fobbed off with promises of despatch and delivery. Latest date is beginning of May. Like thats really 4-5 days isn't it (37 days and counting). I agree with both of the previous reviews, Amazon are taking orders under false pretences. Advise customers to buy elsewhere unless they enjoy waiting months and talking to a hopeless customer services in anothert country!!
Great...if you can get it (another irritated customer) April 23, 2007 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I appear to be experiencing the same problems as Mr Taylor (below). Thanks for the review...at least I know I'm not alone. When I first ordered (30th March)it seemed to be an offer that was too good to be true (and that's when it was being sold for 40ish). I've ordered it as a surprise present and didn't mind that delivery would probably take a week...it's now looking like it will be at least a month. If Amazon truly wish to be as customer-centric as they claim, then under-promise and over-deliver not the other way around.
