Build quality good, but very poor navigational system December 15, 2007 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have tried this toy for my 4 year old kid. Its build quality is superb; my score for that is 10/10. I have tried all the instructions as given in the manual to navigate the chopper. Despite my sincere attempt in following the guidelines given in the flight control manual, the chopper was not stable in the air. It whorls around and around in the air, no matter how you try to trim and hold the directional keys. In total I felt it was a waste of money. If you want to demonstrate the true performance of an helicopter to your kids, please do not purchase this. Unless you navigate the chopper in the direction you wish, then there is no fun in it. I decided to try some other toy at a higher price that can have a stable navigational system. Overall my rating of this toy is 2/10.
2 Hours of Fun. Only! December 11, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Well, this toy was great fun but within 2 hours wasn't working. With no bad crashes, the thing just stopped working, the led acting strangly.
Alarmingly, after contacting Silverlit UK & Global, we have had no response in our request for a replacement. A disgusting display, they just don't care.
cats love this toy November 8, 2007 7 out of 23 found this review helpful
firstly may i say cats are entertained totally by this toy but more to the point it is initially a frustrating thing to play with and i got sick of it in 5 minutes.but..pick it up and persevere the initial reaction is to try and steer it but leave it flying and it willl settle get it trimmed then lightly use the direction controls it will be fun again.
It's not fire proof !!! November 7, 2007 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY....but it is the start of the winter and early cold nights. so on my return from work i lit my open fire whilst charging my less than 24hr old toy... u just know where this going don't u?! yes straight in, very sad but feel compelled to purchase another.... BRILLIANT fun but not fire resistant!!! a must for all kids, big and small :)
Silverlit Radio Control Picoo Z Helicopter November 7, 2007 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
The Helicopter arrived this morning and i was flying it 30 minutes later!! Having spent 120 on a jabo 2 rc helicopter from an rc helicopter supplier, i couldn't get the thing off the floor, and when i did it smashed into whatever was in the immediate area costing me a small fortune in spares to no avail.
The Pico Z is a toy, but a fantastic one all the same, this is easy to fly, and great for getting the feel for flying helicopters.
Im already considering buying the Siverlit Gyrotor (the next model up) as my next step to the flying full rc helicopters.
I would recommend this for anyone who want to get into flying helicopters, its easy to fly and loads of fun. 10/10
